My name is Karen Aguilar. I am
very excited to have created this website for all of the people
that share the love of salsa music and dance in the washington
DC, VA and Md areas, also everyone all over the world who share
the same love. The internet is a great source to share the passion
for salsa/mambo. I dance professionally with many of the great
salsa dancers in the area. I have attended and performed at the
salsa congresses in LA 2001, in Puerto Rico 2001,2005,2006, NY
Salsa Congress 2002 & 2006. I have also performed locally
in different clubs and events. I have performed and directed choreographies
for the reggeaton group MAFU crew as their stage dancers for performances
held at the patriot center at George Mason University. I share
my passion dancing and teaching mambo, also reggeaton. I have
been a dance member of the Salsafuego Dance Company, & The
Yambu Latin Dance company and currently I am instructing on my
own and directing my own dance company, Son Mulato. There are
4 dance members under my direction. This website will focus on
bringing you information on salsa events and where the dancers
hang out to enjoy dancing to salsa/mambo. I will also focus on
promoting salsa and making the salsaholics stand out from the
crowd! I am looking forward on creating an informative, but also
fun site for everyone. Thank you & remember to smile and have
